Going 75 Soft
As part of my ongoing effort to get my life together, I have decided to join the TikTokers and such in taking on the 75-Soft Challenge. Most people are adopting 75-Hard: a strict and strenuous fitness and productivity program designed to help one achieve incredible, dramatic, results in a short period of time. Most 75-Hard programs I’ve seen include some variation of these rules:
Follow a diet (No alcohol or cheat meals).
Two 45-minute workouts a day (one must be outside).
Drink 1 gallon of water a day.
Read 10 pages, nonfiction, a day. Audiobooks do not count.
Take a progress pic a day.
Caveat: Fail any of the above and you start the 75 days over.
Shoutout to those of you who are mentally and emotionally well and upright enough for all of that.
As for me and my house, we’re going softer:
I will not be starting over if I miss a day.
The challenge will last from January 20, 2025 – April 4, 2025. I’m actually kind of excited. One of my goals for this year is to better my relationship with discipline and consistency. I feel taking on these rules for the next two-to-three months will not only produce great physical results, but will help improve my work ethic, brainpower, and mental state. Either way…couldn’t hurt.
